My name is J’Dan Garing, a technical writer based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

I started my career in tech as a writer, working for a Taiwanese-American startup. The job was to draft and prepare for publication various user manuals. The research got me hooked into actual systems administration that by the next year, I changed track and got hired to support machines running Apple’s then brand-new operating system — Mac OS X.
